Love Never Fails 2015 (South Korea), also known as Love Wins, Sarangi Iginda , is South Korea drama premiere on Sep 10, 2015
There is a high school girl who academically excels at school. Her grade is so important to her mother that she cannot look away from her daughter even for a second. The girl tries her best to meet the high expectations of her mother, but when she tells her mother that her school grade improved, the mother begins scolding: “So, why haven’t you tried harder until now?” The girl’s father, a doctor, is busy with his own problems. He has to stand before the court for sexually harassing his assistant, and is brought to the police station after wrangling with a taxi driver.
Director Min said he had borrowed these ideas from a few true stories. In this film disclosing the extremes of Korean society and families, both the mother and father characters suffer from abnormal obsessions, seeing only what they want to see and clinging to trivialities. In this process, they neglect what is genuinely important to them, without knowing their poor daughter will be victimized.
