Hyun Ju, an orphan, falls in love with Jung Ho and supports him through his study. They live together as she makes sacrifices that leads to him passing an exam to be a doctor. On the day of the party to celebrate his success, he meets Yun Kyung, daughter of the hospital's principal and falls in love. Jung Ho starts abusing Hyun Ju and she leaves him for his own sake. She gives birth to his son at the orphanage she grew up and soon falls ill.
