Based on a true story, "Faithballl" is a funny, inspiring and heartwarming tale about a group of misfit kids who start out trying to save their local baseball team, but in the end overcome insurmountable obstacles and achieve miraculous success for themselves, their Temple and their community. Borrowing heavily from Taiwanese folklore, "Faithball" merges the modern and the ancient by focusing on the real Taoist "Mazu" Temples where these kids came from. Like the traditional tales of the Goddess "Mazu", each kid from the Temple has both a deficiency and a strength. One of the kids is hard of hearing while another kid has incredible speed. The deficiencies and strengths complement each other as a team, and they go on to enjoy enormous achievements.
