Xiao Ai, a dancer, after graduating from NYU's art university returns back to the country. She loves ballet, but is a poor girl who could not come in contact with it. She has a brother, Li Xiang, who loves her very much and supports her. Yet, performing on the international stage, becoming a ballet star, has been her dream for her whole life.
