Set during the Japanese occupation of Korea, Doo Han (the General's son) leaves Chong-ro (Chong Street) to avoid the Japanese military police helping some drug smugglers and after being attacked by bandits he returns to Chong-ro again. This time he meets a famous pop singer, Jang Eun Shil. His friend Yong Geol is being harassed by Japanese Military Police, But in helping him, Doo Han kills a man. To protect his friends he gives himself up and is sent to prison where he is forced into a fight with the military police martial arts instructor, to gain his freedom.
