After the attack on Pearl Harbor, the American government has ordered an air strike on Tokyo. Having completed their mission and completely depleted of gas, Captain Jack Turner and his team make an emergency landing in Zhejiang Province. Ying Zi and her daughter find an unconscious Jack Turner and saves him in spite of the dangers that it can spell for themselves should the Japanese soldiers find out. From total strangers, the two eventually develop a relationship that crosses cultural and language barriers.
