Love Marie Payawal Ongpauco-Escudero (known in the Philippine entertainment industry as Heart Evangelista), is a Chinese Filipino actress-TV host and visual media artist. As an accomplished painter, Heart had sold out solo exhibitions at the Ayala Museum and Gallerie Joaquin. She also had a successful exhibition at the Raffles Hotel in Singapore. Recently, her artworks can be seen in luxury bags, couture, furniture and accessories, books and product packaging.

Love Marie Ongpauco-Escudero started her career at the age of 13 as a commercial model and actress. Her 19 years of hard work paved the way to numerous acting/hosting projects and awards.

Heart is also an advocate of children’s health and education and has been a spokesperson for the Philippine Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) for more than 10 years already.

She is the daughter of Reynaldo Evangelista Ongpauco, who belongs to a Chinese-Filipino clan that owns and manages Barrio Fiesta Group of restaurants, and Maria Cecilia del Gallego Payawal, whose family owns a sugarcane plantation in Camarines Sur and is the granddaughter of a Spanish governor in the Bicol region. Heart is the youngest in her family, with one brother and four sisters. She grew up and studied in the U.S. then her family moved back to the Philippines in her early teens. She is married to Senator Francis "Chiz" Escudero. On February 15, 2015, the couple wed in a private ceremony at the Balesin Island Club in the Philippines.

Her foundation Heart Can aims to help children with respiratory diseases. She is also a spokesperson for PAWS or (Philippine Animal Welfare Society). Heart has also been supporting the Balikatan Thalassemia for children with this rare disease, Corridor of Hope for children with cancer and the Cerebral Palsy Association of Sorsogon where her husband hails.
