Koichi Iwaki is a Japanese Actor and Racer of Korean descent, born and raised in Tokyo, Japan. He debuted in 1975 at the age of 24, but shot to international fame with his role in the TV drama Kita no Kuni kara. He is very good friends with Tachi Hiroshi, with the two of them crazy over motorbikes. He started professional motor-racing in 1980.
He won the award for Best Actor at the 8th Yokohama Film Festival for Minami he hashire, umi no michi o!.
