Hara Hideko is a Japanese actress and talent born in Tokyo. She belongs to the Alpha Agency. She graduated from Kurume Nishi High School in Tokyo and dropped out of Nihon Kogakuin College.

She debuted as an actress as a research student of Shiki Theater Company. In 1979 she made her movie debut in "Yuyake no Maiuei" and a year later, she played the role of Ryoko in the 160th episode of "Tokuso Saizensen".

In 2019, she won the Best Actress Award at the 33rd Takasaki Film Festival for the movie "Lying To Mom".

Her husband was actor Watanabe Hiroyuki who hanged himself at his private gym in the basement of his home on May 3, 2022.
