Jackson Wang JiaEr, is a Hong Kong singer, rapper, dancer, and fencer. He is a member of South Korean hip-hop group GOT7, debuted in January 16, 2014 under JYP Entertainment. He is in charge of rap and martial arts tricking. Before joining GOT7, Jackson was also a former national fencer (sabre) of the Hong Kong fencing team. He was ranked 11th in 2010 Summer Youth Olympics and eventually won first place at the Asian Junior and Cadet Fencing Championship in 2011.

Jackson's father is Wang Rui Ji, former coach of Hong Kong national fencing team and a one time winner in Asian Games 1978. His mother is Zhou Ping, a gold medalist at the World Gymnastics Championships in 1982. Jackson had received training in gymnastic together with his brother and won the 1st place in acrobatic gymnastics championship for mixed pair category when he was 9 years old before switching to fencing.

Jackson started his fencing career when he was 10. The first time his father brought him to a match, Jackson immediately fell in love with fencing and confidently said it's the sport of his life. Since then he has been trained by his own father as well as other professional coaches and achieved multiple awards and winnings for Hong Kong national fencing team.

Jackson attended American International School in Hong Kong since primary.
Jackson was scouted by JYP Entertainment among other 2000 contestants in 2010. He wanted to become a trainee but his parents were against it at first. His father made a deal that he would let him go to Korea if Jackson can be the best fencer of Asia. Jackson eventually won first place at the Asian Junior and Cadet Fencing Championship.

Jackson came to Korea in July 3, 2011 and became a JYP trainee for 2 and a half years before his debut in GOT7. His first pre-debut appearance was on an episode of Mnet's reality-survival program WIN: Who Is Next, which aired on September 6, 2013. Jackson alongside Mark, BamBam & Yugyeom were competing against the YG Entertainment trainees: Team A and Team B (that are now known as WINNER (Team A) and iKON (Team B)). Jackson´s first appearance as an official member of GOT7 was in the teaser for their debut on January 6 with Yugyeom. Got7's video came out on January 6.
