Tokyo detective Otomichi Takako leaves for Tachikawa City to join the investigation of a bizarre, possible, homicide case. A businessman entered a family restaurant alone. Shortly later, the man burst into flames. The forensic team discovers residue that they believe was a chemical detonator on the man's belt. They also discover large dog-like bite marks on the man's thigh.
Detective Otomichi Takako is then paired with Tachikawa police officer Takizawa Tamotsu to unravel this mysterious case. They soon learn that the victim, Sugawara Takuma ran a dating club in the same building as the family restaurant. He was also previously connected with the underground nightclub world in Roppongi. Before long, a second murder occurs linking the deaths to a wolflike predator
