Tachibana loves to eat! In fact, he knows a LOT about food, and his habit of always talking about food is what got him the nickname, "Meshibana." Although his constant talk of food may annoy people--because it makes them hungry--Tachibana's unique knowledge of food allows him to get uncooperative people to open up to him, as he uses food related stories and stories of his experiences with certain restaurants. It's a pretty successful tactic, since it helps Tachibana solve the cases at hand.
