Like any devoted mothers, Remedios "Medy" Santos is willing to make sacrifices for her family. Medy is a breadwinner who works as a make-up artist. One day, she was chosen to be a personal make-up artist and assistant for her client's US concert tour. During her stay in America, she ran into a former classmate named Helen, who urged her to stay and be an illegal migrant worker. With a promise of a job and a better salary, Medy agrees in desperation of earning money so she could pay off her sickly daughter's medical bills. Instead of what was agreed upon, Medy ends up doing odd jobs until she landed a job as a housekeeper. Seven years later, Medy tries to escape from the family she works for and goes back to her homeland.
