Filmed on location in Northern Pakistan, a camera company executive named Kentaro Toma who becomes obsessed with a certain photograph of a lone chair in a meadow, which he and a customer-turned-friend named Togashi agree must be “the world’s last Shangri-La”. Together they trace it back to its source — the area of Northern Pakistan formerly known as Hunza — and decide to travel there. ~~ Based on a novel by Teru Miyamoto.
